High Wycombe, Friday 17th July. Unconfirmed reports say that Steve Pillinger, the typesetter who went missing from the UK headquarters of Wycliffe Bible Translators in mid-April, was briefly sighted sneaking back into the Typesetting Services department today. Positive identification was not possible from the blurred snapshot taken by a member of staff (who did not want to be named), but she declared: “It was definitely him. I would recognise that furtive look anywhere”.
Managers at the translation organisation commented that Dr Pillinger’s return would be welcomed, as the Chumburung Bible (Ghana) needs to be prepared for publication by the end of August.
Investigations into these reports are continuing.
